"PESTO
basically means "punded" in Italian
and refers to the ancient method of making a paste by pounding and
grinding the ingredients together with a mortar and
pestle. Most folks may think of pesto as a
rich mixture of basil, pine nuts, olive oil,
garlic, and parmesan cheese.

__There are
also other combinations of delicious ingredients
that create
equally satisfying
results.
Here is a unique combination using
one of springs first garden offerings - the young
leaves of the garlic plant.
