As the Director of Personnel for the New York
State School of Industrial and Labor Relations at
Cornell, Alice was called upon often to provide
leadership and direction in situations requiring
discretion, judgment, and the ability to match
people with positions. Partly as a result of this
experience, she has become a top-performing real
estate professional who possesses an uncanny
ability to match buyers to sellers in Ithaca's
highly competitive real estate market.
Besides amassing a multimillion dollar sales
record over her 11 years of work in real estate,
Alice finds time to cook, garden, and attend many
of the theater events available in the area. She
also lends her considerable experience to Planned
Parenthood of Tompkins County, as a member of their
board of directors, and to Literacy Volunteers.
Alice's travels make her uniquely able to serve
people who are in the process of relocating. She
has traveled extensively in the United States and
abroad, including trips to England, Scotland,
Italy, France, Greece, Germany, Austria, Holland,
Russia, Finland, the Czech Republic, Serbia,
Croatia, Montenegro, Mexico, and Canada.
Alice lives in Ithaca with her husband, Robert
Smith, an Associate Dean at Cornell University, and
the youngest of her five children, Gabrielle and
Alicia, students at Ithaca High School and Cornell
University.
